Enrolling your child

Black Forest Primary School experiences a high level of interest in enrolment at the school and we work to ensure vacancies for all children and families living within the school zone. All students who live within the Black Forest Primary School zone are guaranteed a place at our school. (Our Zone map is below- updated 9/2021)

We welcome registrations of interest from families living outside of the Black Forest Primary School zone and we will contact you should a vacancy become available.

When enrolling your child, please provide:

Your child’s birth certificate or passport
Evidence of the child’s residence in the school zone.
If you own your home, please provide
- A copy of the property sale contract, or a recent council rates notice, and
- A recent gas or electricity bill for that property

If you rent your home, please provide

A rental agreement
A bond receipt lodged with Consumer and Business Services, and
A recent gas or electricity bill for that property

Enrolling a child in Reception

If your child is approaching their first year of school, families are encouraged to enrol their child at school 12 months prior to beginning Reception, once they have enrolled at kindergarten. Please contact Black Forest Primary School on 08 8293 1204 and our Front Office staff will happily guide you through the process. Please be aware that we have both start and mid year intakes!

Following your enrolment, you will receive information regarding our Transition to School program. This transition program includes a number of initiatives to ensure your child’s transition to school is as smooth and successful as possible.
